Located half way beween the two coasts, Dallas is the hub of the South Central region.
The Dallas-Ft Worth airport is the 3rd largest in the USA. A convergence of major rail and road axis and a highly developed infrastructure make it one of the major logistical centers in the US. The largest linland port in the world is under construction in the southern part of the city.
This dynamic city has been named "Best city in the US for business" by Fortune Magazine. The cost of doing business there is much lower than many major cities and the 2008 report on growth has named Dallas the faster growing metropolis in the US.

The Dallas Market Center is a complex of four building covering 650 000m2 of exhibition space housing over 2000 showrooms representing over 35 000 lines.
Every year over 50 shows are held there attracting 200 000 visitors.
The Dallas Supermarket and its temporary show called F!NDS are held four times a year (January, March, June and September). These shows are attended by 70 000 retailers from over 30 countries.
Buyers from department stores, chain and specialty stores, independant furniture, gift, jewelry and gift boutiques; designers, decorators and distributors of product for home, garden as well as catalogs, museum and gallery buyers conduct an estimated $7.5 billion of wholesale business each year. |
